Celebrating samba’s 100th anniversary, Antarctica invited Elifas Andreato to illustrate 05 traditional carioca’s spots where the rhythm was originally born: Lapa, Madureira, Cacique de Ramos, Pedra do Sal and Vila Isabel, that then became a set of a special edition of the product’s cans.
Throughout a more than 50 years long career, Elifas is one of the greatest Brazilian artists. He has a close history with samba. Chico Buarque, Martinho da Vila, Clementina de Jesus, Elis Regina, Paulinho da Viola, among many others, have had their albums’ covers illustrated by Elifas.
